A universal Experience: BWI in all its glory

A point where Marylanders all venture to at one point, somewhat close to the countries capital DC and closer to Baltimore city. The Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Airport (BWI) is not a frequently spoken about place, but it should be. There are many airports that could drive a person stir crazy, this one however, is not (In my opinion). BWI is perfectly oriented, easy to find, just small enough, but big enough to be a frequent layover spot.

The airport for most people is a horribly unenjoyable experience in which we have all wobbled around at the crack of dawn in. It can be scary for those who don't like to fly, overwhelming for those who don't like crowded spots, and a dreadfully long experience for those who flew before 9/11.

As someone who's had the privilege of recently venturing through the Atlanta (ATL) airport and Miami (MIA) airport for job interviews, I can say I have a new appreciation for the luxuries our airport offers. Firstly the bathrooms in BWI are spacious, clean, luminous and oriented in a time efficient way.

When comparing the bathrooms to the airports Ive recently been to I can proudly say we have it good here, the bathrooms are outdated, small , dirty, and inefficient in Miami in Atlanta - shocking I know. For such hot spots and busy areas I was devastated at the difficulty in which I navigated these airports and felt myself overwhelmingly claustrophobic because of their orientation and outdated layouts.

Airports are incredibly import to the tourist rates and efficiency of cities economies, they bring people in (literally). So to my surprise these airports left me incredibly frustrated, and I can definitely say I will avoid flying in and out of the Miami airport at any and all cost for the rest of my existence.
